This vintage handcrafted green enameled lamp is a mere sculpture from the Southern Moroccan village of Tamegroute, where skilled potters have practiced local techniques that have been passed down through generations. The characteristic green glazes, ranging from earthy olives to vivid greens, are the result of variations in a traditional mixture of magnesium, copper oxide and barley flour. With its unique form, reminiscent of roman columns like that of Trajan, and solomonian columns of baroque architectures, this unique lamp strikes a perfect balance between art and design, the embodiment of a unique and long-lived craft.
