Rare serigraph by french artist Pierre Alechinsky, depicting the town of Paris with a sun, clouds and the Eiffel Tower. This rare print was made en 1989 for the bicentenary of the french revolution. It was ordered by the Automn Festival, a well-known parisian institution which deals with theatre, dance and live shows. Printed on vellum paper. In perfect condition.

Born 19 October 1927, Pierre Alechinsky is one of the most important european artist of our time. He has lived and worked in France since 1951. His work is related to tachisme, abstract expressionism, lyrical abstraction. In 1949, he joined Christian Dotremont, Karel Appel, Constant, Jan Nieuwenhuys and Asger Jorn to form the art group COBRA. His works are held in the collections of Centre Pompidou, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, the Tate, Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.
