Félix Agostini (1910-1980) is a famed Parisian designer of the 1960s and '70s. His collaborations with Alberto and Diego Giacometti influenced his styles, from the textures of his bronze to the skinny silhouettes he created. He raised his flag very high in the twentieth century landscape, by the abstract, stylized and surrealist seal of his lamps and sculptures. A tribute to the horse world, the low table "Quadrige" is one of the most sculptural realisations of Félix Agostini, reminiscent of the tables of Alberto and Diego Giacometti. It has an X-shaped spacer made up of four straps and a central ring representing a horse bit, in an abstract way. This exceptional vintage piece of furniture belonged to the parisian house of the famous art dealer Daniel Wildenstein, then entered a french private collection. It can be both integrated in a modern and contemporary interior, and in a classic decoration.
Very much appreciated by decorators and interior designers like Jacques Grange, Félix Agostini is one of the leader of french design in the XXth century, along with Jean Michel Frank, Line Vautrin, Jean Royère, François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, Philippe Anthonioz, Philippe Hiquily, Elisabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti.
